Job summary

PE Global is seeking a Plug and Abandonment / Intervention Engineer to join a leading multi-national technology client based in Mold, Wales. The role involves producing well programmes and overseeing P&A and intervention operations.

You will prepare detailed well programmes, monitor operations, review data, liaise with offshore teams and contractors, and ensure compliance with HSE policies and industry standards. This contract supports 4 to 6 months with flexible site attendance in Mold, UK.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed well programmes for plug and abandonment and well intervention operations.
• Monitor and support ongoing P&A operations with technical guidance.
• Review well data, historical records and technical documentation to develop operational plans.
• Coordinate with offshore teams, drilling contractors and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed well programmes for plug and abandonment (P&A) and well intervention operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
• Monitor and support ongoing P&A operations, providing technical guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.
• Review well data, historical records, and technical documentation to develop appropriate operational plans.
• Liaise with offshore teams, drilling contractors, service providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate operational activities.
• Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and best industry practices.
• Track operational performance, identify issues, and recommend technical solutions to minimise downtime and operational risk.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, procedures, and end-of-well reports.
