Job summary

Expert Employment is seeking a Drilling and Well Intervention Engineer to support a major energy services project in the UK. You will contribute to safe well abandonment and intervention operations, with a focus on planning, risk review, and field execution.

The role requires strong experience in plug and abandonment, well intervention and well integrity, and a hands-on approach to liaising with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Plug and Abandonment and Well Intervention Engineering.
• Strong background in well programme preparation and operational support.
• Experience in well integrity, drilling, completions, or intervention operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed well programmes for plug and abandonment and well intervention activities.
• Monitor onshore operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Provide technical support throughout planning and operational phases.
• Review well data, risks, and operational performance.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and HSE requirements.
