Job summary

PLM is seeking a client-facing Consultant to join our growing digital engineering team in the UK. You’ll translate client needs into practical PLM solutions and lead implementation across engineering and manufacturing environments.

You’ll gather requirements, run workshops, configure Windchill/Creo/ThingWorx, and deliver training while building strong client relationships. This role suits proactive problem-solvers with a consulting mindset.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in consultancy or a client-facing role.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven, proactive and comfortable managing your own workload.
• Ability to adapt to different client environments and project requirements.
• Drive to keep developing your technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows, business rules and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customisation and data migration.
• Integrate PLM solutions with wider enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity, keeping projects on track against timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops to help client teams get the most from the system.
• Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for PLM-related issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project.
• Stay current on PLM trends, best practice and emerging digital transformation technologies.
