Job summary

PLM is seeking a proactive PLM Consultant to join our client-facing team in the UK. You will translate client requirements into practical PLM solutions, configure Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx, and lead implementation activities across engineering and manufacturing environments.

You will work closely with clients to gather needs, run workshops, deliver training, and ensure projects stay on track with timelines and budgets, while keeping up-to-date with digital transformation trends.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in consultancy or client-facing roles.
• Understand PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx (PTC solutions).
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate into practical solutions.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confident running workshops and client conversations.
• Strong listening skills and consulting acumen.
• Self-driven and able to manage own workload.
• Adaptive to different client environments and project requirements.
• Desire to develop technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customisation and data migration.
• Integrate PLM with ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity, keeping projects on track with timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops to help client teams get the most from the system.
• Provide technical support and act as escalation point for PLM issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor.
• Stay current on PLM trends and digital transformation technologies.
