OP in Slough is seeking a PLM Engineer with experience in data migration to lead a major product data migration project. You will manage, prepare, validate and migrate engineering data including 3D CAD models, drawings, PDFs and Excel files into the PLM environment, ensuring accuracy and readiness.
You will collaborate with PLM and engineering teams, review legacy data, classify and clean data, develop improved processes, and report progress against milestones.
About the Role Our client, a market-leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a PLM Engineer with experience in Data migration to join our engineering team in Slough and take ownership of a major product data migration project. This is not a traditional IT or cloud-based Data Engineering role. The position is focused on the management, preparation, validation and migration of engineering and product data, including 3D CAD models, technical drawings, PDFs, Word documents and Excel files, into a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. You will play a key role in transforming and organising legacy engineering data, ensuring it is accurate, structured and ready for migration into the company's PLM environment. This would suit someone with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Data, CAD, PLM, Product Data Management or Data Migration, who enjoys working with technical information and solving data quality and organisation problems.
