Job summary

OP in Slough is seeking a PLM Engineer with experience in data migration to lead a major product data migration project. You will manage, prepare, validate and migrate engineering data including 3D CAD models, drawings, PDFs and Excel files into the PLM environment, ensuring accuracy and readiness.

You will collaborate with PLM and engineering teams, review legacy data, classify and clean data, develop improved processes, and report progress against milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience with engineering, manufacturing or product data and strong analytical skills.
• Experience handling large volumes of technical information.
• Data cleansing, validation, organisation or migration experience.
• Good understanding of engineering documentation and technical data.
• Familiarity with CAD data, technical drawings or engineering docs.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with databases.
• Ability to own a defined work package and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the engineering data migration work package from assessment through to completion.
• Review and assess legacy product and engineering data.
• Extract, sort, organise and classify data for migration.
• Clean, validate and quality-check data for consistency.
• Prepare 3D CAD models, drawings and related docs for PLM migration.
• Coordinate with PLM and engineering teams across sites.
• Ensure migrated data meets company standards and data quality requirements.
• Develop improved processes and working instructions for data management.
