Job summary

PLM is seeking a permanent, on-site Consultant in Cheltenham with 2-4 years in consultancy or similar client-facing roles. You’ll translate requirements into PLM solutions, configure systems, and lead implementation across manufacturing and product lifecycle environments.

You’ll work with ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT integrations, deliver training, and build trusted client relationships while staying updated on PLM trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of consultancy or similar client-facing experience.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation, or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate into practical solution recommendations.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confident running workshops, training sessions and client conversations.
• Strong listening skills and consulting acumen.
• Self-driven and comfortable managing own workload.
• Adaptability to different client environments and project requirements.
• Drive to develop technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into clear PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customization and data migration.
• Integrate PLM with ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity and keep projects on track with timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops for client teams to maximise system value.
• Provide technical support and act as escalation point for PLM issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor throughout the project.
• Stay current on PLM trends and emerging digital transformation technologies.
