Job summary

Pioneer Selection in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site.

The role focuses on electrical and controls fault finding, PLC repairs and modifications, and supporting machine reliability on production lines. You will work days, enjoy a hands-on controls role with scope to develop technical skills and progress within a stable engineering environment. Experience with Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs is preferred.

Qualifications

Electrical bias and controls background with fault-finding, repair and modification capabilities.
Experience with Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs is essential.
Open to candidates from industrial maintenance backgrounds.
Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

Carrying out electrical and controls fault finding across industrial machinery.
Diagnosing and repairing PLC-related faults.
Fault finding, repairing and modifying Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs.
Supporting PLC modifications and improvements.
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
Supporting production to minimise downtime.
Identifying recurring faults and contributing to reliability improvements.
Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams.
