Job summary

The Glasgow Academy is inviting applications for qualified Playworkers to join our After School Care team. 3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm, term time. The role requires a background in play work and the ability to create a safe, stimulating environment for children.

Salary will be paid pro-rata in line with the national living wage. The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check and provide two references.

Job description

The Post

You will be working as part of an established team and ideally hold an HNC or SVQ level 3 or equivalent Play work qualification. You should be a flexible, enthusiastic and imaginative professional with a sound knowledge of Social Care Standards, Getting it Right for Every Child and Play work Principles.

You will have:

• An appropriate level of IT skills.
• An enthusiasm to bring new ideas to the service which will enable children to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check and will also be required to make health declaration to work with young children, as well as supplying two supporting references.

Remuneration

Salary will be paid, pro-rata, in line with national living wage.
