Job summary

The Link Education Trust is seeking a Wraparound care Playworker for our Sunrise and Sunset provision in Salford. You will facilitate the day-to-day organisation of the Before and After School Club for children aged 4–11, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a compassionate approach, able to work 2 evenings per week (Tue/Thu, 3:15pm–6pm) and commit to high standards in a supportive school setting.

Qualifications

  • Provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children aged 4–11.
  • Be compassionate and caring with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Understand compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.

Employer: The Link Education Trust

Working Hours: Minimum of 5.5 hours per week (equates to 2 nights a week, 3.15pm to 6pm on a Tuesday and Thursday)

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 1 year

We are looking to appoint a Wraparound care Playworker for our Sunrise and Sunset provision. You will be expected to facilitate the day-to-day organisation of the Before and After School Club by providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 4-11 years old in a safe and secure environment.

You will need to:
  • Provide high standards of care and play opportunities.
  • Have a compassionate and caring approach to working with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Have an understanding of compliance of all regulatory requirements stated in the Early Years Foundation Stage and by Ofsted.
  • Build positive working relationships with staff members, outside professionals, parents and carers.
  • Support Happy and engaged children.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player, who is passionate and motivated about children's wellbeing and will be committed to the positive ethos of the school.
