Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a dedicated Play Assistant for Oakbank Primary School. The role is part-time (16 hours per week) on a permanent basis, with the aim of providing high quality play and lunchtime experiences for children in Early Learning and Childcare.

You will work with the nursery team, support the development and planning of activities, and pursue the required SSSC qualification with employer support.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be committed to achieving the required qualification within the timescales set by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Experience with children is desirable and helpful.
• Good manners, confidentiality, and respect for others are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality play and lunchtime experiences within Early Learning and Childcare.
• Assist in development, planning and implementation of play/care activities around lunch times.
• Work as part of the nursery team at Oakbank Primary School.
• Support safeguarding and maintaining a safe, happy environment for children and carers.
