Job summary

Perth and Kinross Council is seeking a Peripatetic Play Assistant to support children across multiple Kids Clubs and wraparound services. The role is term-time 18 hours weekly, with 36 hours weekly during school holidays, based at Perth Grammar School, offering real hands-on childcare experience.

You will help deliver high-quality activities, assist the supervisor and team, and work toward a recognised childcare qualification.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children in early learning or childcare.
• Willing to work term-time and during school holidays.
• Commitment to achieving a recognised childcare qualification.
• Willingness to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high-quality care and a range of stimulating activities.
• Work with the Supervisor and Kids Club Team to support children's learning.
• Deliver activities suitable to children’s needs and interests in a safe environment.
