Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

The role involves carrying out metal finishing of components using electroplating techniques and other processes as required.

What your background should look like:
  1. Understand and follow all plating procedures associated with the process line within 6 months.
  2. Consistently meet production targets set by supervision within 2 months of process introduction.
  3. Be fully conversant with all safety aspects in the Plating Shop and related areas within 1 month.
  4. Make routine additions to solutions with minimal supervision within 6 months.
  5. Maintain high standards of housekeeping to support safety standards.
  6. Understand and perform all inspection tasks, including using fluoroscope and other tests, after three months.
  7. Identify and prepare all substrates related to the process line within one month.
  8. Follow Health and Safety regulations as per company procedures and legislation.
  9. Complete basic training program within 12-18 months.
  10. Perform any other reasonable tasks to support departmental functions.

Functions supervised include: output, efficiency, quality, housekeeping, and safety standards.
