Job summary

Baringa is building a dedicated Platform team to design and deliver a new data platform for energy modelling. You will architect and implement core tooling, collaborating with engineers, modellers and client-facing experts to provide scalable, reliable solutions.

You will own the platform's development, testing and deployment, advocate best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Advanced working knowledge of a general programming language (Scala/Python/Java/C#).
• Working knowledge of data platforms (SQL/NoSQL/Spark/Databricks).
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue/Blazor) and backend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve a new data platform and toolchain for energy modelling.
• Collaborate with energy system modellers and clients to align platform capabilities with needs.
• Drive automated testing and deployment, ensuring quality and reliability from day one.
• Build and improve DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
