Job summary

Alloyed in Abingdon near Oxford is seeking a motivated software engineer to design, develop and maintain modules for Alloyed's design platform, and to integrate them into a secure cloud-based compute platform.

You will collaborate with aerothermal designers and mechanical engineers, wrap simulation tools in C++/C# modules, and contribute to automated workflows, reporting to the Head of Platform Development.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in science, engineering or computer science with a 2:1 minimum.
• Proficient in C# or C++ and Python.
• Excellent understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
• Highly effective communicator who encourages innovation through collaboration.
• Organised and self-motivated with the ability to own large projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modules within Alloyed's design platform.
• Integrate modules into a secure, cloud-based compute platform.
• Work within a young, fast-paced, agile development team with engineers and technicians.
• Define and implement software solutions to automate existing workflows.
