Job summary

Alloyed is seeking a motivated embedded systems hardware engineer to support the design and testing of production controllers. You will develop existing controller configurations into production‑ready solutions, refining functionality and improving reliability.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in embedded hardware development and firmware design principles, with scope to shape the role for exceptional individuals across related areas. Based in the UK, close to Oxford with modern facilities.

Qualifications

Embedded hardware development with firmware design principles.
Degree in engineering or equivalent experience (2:1+).
Strong PCB design knowledge from schematic to layout.
Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and develop hardware for production controllers for the range of Argive engines including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout
Rapidly implement hardware solutions for onboarding new engine ancillaries
Develop the engine controller hardware so that it can be rapidly adapted to engines in different thrust classes with different ancillaries
Contribute to the testing of the controller to ensure reliability and robustness
Work within a fast paced, agile development team in collaboration with other engineers and technicians
Work collaboratively to solve complex problems with innovative solutions
