Apple Inc. in London seeks a Platform Security Engineer to design, build and operate security frameworks for a Kubernetes-based developer platform across multiple clouds.

You will partner closely with platform and product engineering teams to embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle, ensuring guardrails never become friction. Your work will directly protect Apple customers and the engineers who build the products they rely on every day.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform security or security engineering with infra/app development.
• Experience in Go, Kotlin/Java and Spring Framework.
• Strong written and verbal communication across global teams.
• Passion for developer enablement and security as a product.
• Tenacity to drive complex projects from conception to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal security frameworks, libraries, tools, and processes for engineers.
• Design and implement security frameworks, controls, tooling, and automation for a Kubernetes-based multi-cloud platform.
• Champion secure-by-default infrastructure patterns and drive adoption without sacrificing velocity.
• Partner with platform, product, and infra teams to identify risks and mitigations at architectural level.
• Conduct threat modeling of new platform capabilities during early development.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Work with AI tooling and ensure correctness of what you ship.
