Job summary

Investigo is seeking a Head of Product to join a leading Professional Services organisation in Liverpool. You will own the platform’s product vision, strategy and roadmap, leading a team of product professionals and driving backlog, adoption and value delivery across the business.

The role requires hands-on discovery, backlog management and strong leadership to guide delivery, change and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a senior product leadership role for a business-critical enterprise SaaS platform.
• Experience within professional services would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the product lifecycle from discovery through design, delivery, testing, adoption and optimisation.
• Working knowledge of Agile/hybrid delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, backlog refinement and release management.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess benefits, costs, risks and trade-offs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into plain business language.
• Experience managing complex vendor relationships across a wider supplier ecosystem.
• Collaborative leader with a genuine passion for building and developing a team.
• Understanding of information governance, data protection and regulatory considerations relevant to a professional services environment.
• Product Owner/Agile certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously refine the platform’s product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Backlog ownership including enhancements, defects, technical debt and integrations.
• Build an expert understanding of colleague and client needs through interviews and analytics.
• Lead discovery, validation, design, testing and deployment across the product lifecycle.
• Drive improvements in workflows, governance and data quality within the platform.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing product team.
• Partner with Change, Learning & Development to create adoption plans.
• Develop and present regular reports on product performance and value realization.
• Collaborate with IT, finance, HR and external vendors to deliver compliant projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with the platform vendor and align with market direction.
• Ensure compliance with information security, data protection and regulatory obligations.
• Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement.
