Job summary

Sanderson is seeking a Head of Platform/Senior Technical Product Manager to lead product management across our Web and Mobile Platforms. You’ll connect platform strategy with engineering delivery, enabling scalable, secure digital experiences for customers and internal teams.

You will bridge Engineering, Product, Architecture and Security, defining what platforms should deliver, prioritising work and coordinating delivery across teams. A highly technical, product-minded leader is ideal.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience in software engineering or digital technology environments.
• Proven experience building and managing product backlogs, discovery pipelines, prioritisation frameworks and multi-horizon roadmaps.
• Experience working with software engineering, architecture, security and delivery teams on complex technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Kanban delivery practices, with pragmatic application.
• Ability to turn ambiguous stakeholder needs into clear outcomes, requirements and plans.
• Strong commercial awareness with budgets, investment planning, forecasting or portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve platform vision, strategy and target state.
• Translate strategic outcomes into clear platform objectives, measurable success criteria and roadmaps.
• Balance immediate delivery needs with longer-term platform health, scalability, security, maintainability and developer experience.
• Ensure investment decisions align with organisational priorities and demonstrate value to platform consumers and customers.
• Define, implement and improve a consistent intake process for all platform requests and govern demand.
• Own and maintain backlog, discovery pipelines, and Kanban boards for the Web and Mobile Platform.
• Drive adoption of platform capabilities, standards and ways of working across product engineering teams.
• Gather feedback and usage insights to improve the product experience and roadmap.
