Job summary

Lorien is seeking an experienced Platform Owner to oversee enterprise Oracle database platforms, driving upgrades, cloud migrations, and platform improvements. The role blends hands-on technical work with strong stakeholder engagement across platform engineering and business teams.

Key focus areas include managing RAC/Data Guard/RMAN-based environments, Oracle performance tuning, and ensuring security and scalability across on‑prem and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting large-scale Oracle database platforms and delivering major upgrade/migration initiatives.
• Strong technical expertise across Oracle Database, WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware.
• Deep knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM and Oracle performance tuning.
• Experience managing Oracle databases across on-prem and cloud.
• Stakeholder coordination across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Supports platform roadmaps, service enhancements, and self-service adoption for cross‑team work.
• Assists in management and continuous improvement of platform technologies and tooling.
• Contributes to platform lifecycle management and optimisation initiatives.
• Acts as liaison between users, platform engineering, and Lead Platform Owner.
• Ensures platform services are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
• Supports delivery of platform initiatives within governance frameworks.
