Job summary

Arm is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and maintain enterprise database environments. You will install, configure, and manage Oracle databases, ensure high availability, and implement security and backup strategies.

The role requires strong SQL, experience with RAC/ASM/Active Data Guard, and proficiency across Windows and Linux servers. Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL and database administration skills.
• Experience with database security, backup/recovery and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM and Active Data Guard.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• PowerShell and UNIX shell scripting skills.
• Understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Database modelling and capacity planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor and optimise database performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
• Support and deploy new database technologies and enhancements.
• Design, build, and integrate complex database solutions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and database monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define technical requirements and database architectures.
• Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are achieved.
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements across database environments.
