Job summary

HSBC Group in London is looking for an engineering leader to own the RCA and Regulation Management platforms, delivering resilient, scalable services in a highly regulated environment. You will shape architecture, backlog, build, release and run while partnering with Risk stakeholders and DevSecOps teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python with production-grade software deliverables.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures and low-latency design patterns.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end delivery including architecture, backlog, build, release and production support.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of Risk Controls Assessment (RCA) and Regulation Management workstreams within the portfolio.
• Oversee full lifecycle engineering from discovery to production operations and continuous improvement.
• Build secure, scalable capabilities with clear ownership across architecture, backlog, release and run.
• Advocate Agile delivery, DevSecOps, trunk-based development, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Embed AI-enabled engineering practices with governance and traceability.
• Improve production stability, observability and resilience across services.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Procurement, and regional technology partners to align priorities.
