Job summary

SiXworks is seeking a Platform Engineering Resource Manager in Farnborough to lead a large engineering team, develop careers, manage resourcing, and align skills with business priorities. You will work with the Principal Platform Architect to mentor staff and guide delivery across projects.

The role blends people leadership with a technical understanding of Platform Engineering, capacity planning with the Operations team, and clear communication with project managers and service leadership to

Qualifications

Proven experience managing technical teams and coaching engineers and delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, ITIL or SDLC).
Strong leadership and communications skills.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
Data-driven decision making and ability to operate under pressure.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a large team of engineers, including 1:1s, objectives and performance management.
Mentor, coach and develop team members to align skills with business needs.
Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new engineers.
Balance workload priorities and team capability to ensure Delivery Excellence.
