Job summary
Hunter Bond in London seeks a Platform Engineer/SRE to design, build, and operate the infrastructure behind mission-critical trading systems. You will own large-scale, distributed platforms with hands-on ownership and modern DevOps practices.
You will strengthen CI/CD, observability, and automation, enabling reliable, high-availability services for quantitative trading workloads in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge and automation experience.
- Track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Solid grasp of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infra automation.
- Genuine passion for building reliable, highly available platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
- Strengthen observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Build automation and self-service tooling that engineers actually want to use.
- Support containerized workloads and orchestration across large-scale environments.
- Drive reliability, performance, and scalability improvements across distributed systems and middleware.
