BT Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, operate and continually improve infrastructure platforms underpinning critical services across the UK. The role spans across infrastructure, automation, operations and security to ensure resilient, scalable and secure environments.

Applicants must meet UK DV clearance eligibility requirements, including sole British citizenship and UK residence history.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and operating platform infrastructure.
• Ability to automate operational processes and improve reliability.
• Experience with security, resilience and performance for large-scale systems.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, support and improve infrastructure platforms.
• Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort.
• Support platform modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and software engineering teams.
• Monitor platform health and drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to long-term resolution strategies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Share knowledge and mentor engineering community.
