GSK is seeking a skilled Engineer with a strong manufacturing background to support the Oral Solid Dose (OSD) department, focusing on end-to-end tablet manufacturing processes such as Dispensing, Granulation, Compression, Coating, and Packing. The role involves providing engineering technical support for production equipment and plant operations.

The successful candidate will deliver expertise across unit operations, ensuring design, installation, and performance standards are maintained and improved throughout the equipment's lifecycle. This includes implementing business improvement upgrades, modifications, and adaptations to meet quality, safety, and performance targets. The role reports to an Engineering Manager and collaborates with technical authorities across various equipment platforms.

The Ware Campus is undergoing significant capital investment, with multiple large-scale asset refreshment programs. The candidate will influence and guide these expansions and support current production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver improvements across OSD platforms and infrastructure, supporting documentation and validation reviews, and collaborating with equipment manufacturers as needed.
  • Engage with Quality, Safety Practitioners, and Regulatory bodies, including preparing for and presenting at technical quality audits.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and customer service, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support asset maintenance strategies and integrate digital and data processes to optimize plant operations.
  • Enhance procedures relevant to the OSD Engineering Department.

About You:

  • Experience working in highly regulated (GMP) environments.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with a willingness to learn and excellent communication abilities.
  • Awareness of process safety and risk management.
  • Ability to manage engineering projects on complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of operational excellence and leadership principles.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:

The site collaborates with R&D and has recently opened a state-of-the-art oral solid dose facility. It produces over 60 million respiratory inhalers annually and processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for various sites.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related experience.
