In our team we are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with:

· Proficiency in managing and maintaining RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/RedHat Openshift platform, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

· Experience in deployment and configuration Redhat Openshift clusters On-Premises and Public Cloud platforms.

· Experience in deploying Redhat Openshift clusters in a containerized environment.

· Hands-on experience in migrating workloads and virtual machines from VMware environments to Red Hat platforms including Openshift, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

· Strong understanding of network protocols, configurations, and security measures within a Linux and Openshift environment.

· Ability to write and utilize shell scripts (e.g., Bash) and automation tools like Ansible for efficient system management and migration processes.

· Familiarity with implementing security best practices, managing firewalls, SELinux, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies during and after migration.

· Expertise with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, UrbanCode, Docker and Kubernetes.

As a Platform Engineer, you will:

· Work on multiple projects as part of a wider capability team.

· Be responsible for managing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) )/RedHat Openshift platform while leading migration efforts from VMware environments to Red Hat platforms.

· Perform system administration, networking, scripting, and automation to ensure seamless transitions and efficient system operations.

· Implement security best practices, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with organizational policies throughout any migration process.

· Be involved in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, monitoring system performance, and leveraging automation tools like Ansible to streamline workflows.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure successful project delivery.

· Resolve and escalate issues as necessary.

· Undertake necessary trainings and certifications on latest technologies.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

· Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems,

· Experience in Azure RedHat OpenShift and other Azure/AWS PaaS.

· Bash scripting and tools like Ansible for task automation and system management.

· Network configurations, protocols, and troubleshooting in Linux environments.

· SELinux, firewalls, and implementing security best practices.

· Ability to monitor, diagnose, and optimize system performance for efficiency.

· Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell & Shell.

· Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and managing containerized applications

· Strong incident fault finding skills and experience.

· Familiarity with ITSM, Agile methodologies and tools eg ServiceNow, Jira

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Set yourself apart:

· Associate-level cloud certification in AWS, GCP or Azure.

· Hands-on experience in AWS, GCP or Azure cloud technologies.

· Experience in designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions.

· Ability to configure automation using cloud native services.

· Experience in migrating workloads to cloud.
