Join a global IT services and consulting leader as a Platform Engineering Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering transformative technology within one of the UK's most respected banking groups. In this role, you will be at the heart of technology strategy, mentoring high-performing engineering teams focused on delivering modern, cloud-based applications across digital platforms. You will drive technical leadership, enable a DevSecOps culture, and contribute to governance aligned with the bank's QBR.

Responsibilities:

• Champion knowledge sharing across and within labs.
• Drive technical leadership, engineering excellence, interventions strategy, and capability development relevant to platform priorities.
• Contribute to delivery governance aligning with the bank's QBR, big room planning, agile events, and ceremonies.

Essential skills:

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, API/Microservices, and Cloud App Development.
• Experience in developing modern tech applications, channel experience design, and build.
• Prior experience mentoring large technical teams and evangelizing emerging tech practices and trends.
• Innovation, strategy, and thought leadership.
• Ability to monitor, measure, and improve engineering maturity among feature teams.
• Public Cloud experience.
• Engineering leadership to foster engineering culture.
• Experience driving engineering in a product-based organization with an agile mindset.
• Experience promoting DevSecOps and automation culture within engineering teams.

Desirable skills:

• Insurance domain experience.
• Tech dependency management, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills.
• Experience with tech debt and risk management.
