Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Platform Engineer to operate and advance a cloud-native platform powering AI workloads. You will work on Kubernetes clusters, automation, and observability to deliver reliable services across our AI infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software, infra, and SRE teams, mentor peers, and help define standards for deployment and runbooks. This role offers ownership, impact, and the chance to shape a next-generation AI cloud.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes-based platforms in production.
• Automation, CI/CD, configuration management, or GitOps workflows.
• Reliability engineering principles: observability, incident response, failure analysis.
• Production-grade automation or tooling in Go, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and networking basics.
• Ability to work independently on technical problems and collaborate with teams.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve shared cloud-native platform capabilities for AI applications.
• Own parts of the platform, including Kubernetes cluster operations and deployment workflows.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and supportability of platform services.
• Develop automation, tooling, and configuration that reduce manual effort.
• Apply software engineering to create leverage, including scripts and CI/CD tooling.
• Improve incident prevention, detection, and recovery across platform areas.
• Build observability for platform services with metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts.
• Strengthen rollout safety, capacity awareness, and recovery procedures for production.
• Debug complex issues across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage, and cloud infra.
• Refine runbooks and engineering practices to reduce toil and increase resilience.
