Job summary

XTX Markets in London seeks a software engineer for its Shared Engineering platform team. You will build and own platform services end-to-end using Go, while improving the developer experience across the firm's monorepo and CI/CD tooling.

Focus areas include AI/coding-assistant tooling, sandboxing, and governance around workflows. You will mentor peers and collaborate with network and Linux teams to scale infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong software-engineering fundamentals with production experience owning services end-to-end.
• Comfortable on Linux and understanding of OS concepts (processes, networking, packaging, systemd).
• Experience with build systems, CI/CD, and release pipelines; familiarity with monorepos.

Responsibilities

• Build and own platform services and internal tooling end-to-end using Go.
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction in build/CI/CD paths and strengthening libraries.
• Shape AI/coding-assistant tooling adoption and build safe guardrails for workflows.
• Collaborate with network and Linux teams to scale infrastructure and expose it in software.
• Mentor teammates and maintain high standards through thoughtful code reviews.
