Job summary

Squarepoint seeks a Platform Specialist on the Database team to design, deploy and support scalable data infrastructure across relational and analytical engines. This hands-on role blends database administration with automation, ensuring reliable, secure data platforms in a DevOps culture.

You will work with global teams to modernize platforms, enable container-based deployments and maintain high availability, security and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of database administration experience (PostgreSQL or ClickHouse).
• Experience with high availability, replication, backups and recovery.
• Knowledge of indexes, triggers and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of database security, auditing, patching and CVE management.
• Experience with Linux systems administration.
• Familiarity with source control and SDLC concepts.
• Ability to own project delivery from start to finish.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Engineering, CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Database Operations: run resilient production clusters with replication and recovery.
• Automation & Delivery: build repeatable deployment pipelines for databases.
• Platform Migration: shift platforms toward container-based deployments.
• Security & Compliance: protect data with hardened configs and encryption.
• Observability & Reliability: monitor and maintain high service levels.
