Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Platform Engineer to help design and scale the Infrastructure Platform. You will work across the core infrastructure and application platform, focusing on reliability, performance, and developer experience.

The role blends platform and software engineering tasks in a fast-paced fintech environment across the UK. You will contribute to Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and IaC automation while collaborating with multiple domains to empower engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in practical software development and platform tooling.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP and Kubernetes.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform).
• Curious about systems and scalable distributed applications.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain core infrastructure and tooling across the platform ecosystem.
• Build and maintain backend services to provide a self-service experience for engineers.
