Job summary

Marex is seeking a Platform Engineer to help build a secure, scalable cloud platform. You will partner with development and operations to automate and accelerate software delivery across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform or similar), and scripting in Python or PowerShell, plus familiarity with AWS or Azure. You will mentor juniors and contribute to security‑conscious design and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CI/CD across SDLC and cloud deployments.
• Strong scripting with Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform or IaC tooling.
• Experience deploying apps securely in AWS or Azure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a platform for CI/CD in cloud and on‑premises.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
• Improve developer experience and remove impediments.
• Develop IAC and CI/CD policies and guidelines.
• Lead security and governance within SDLC.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with architecture and cloud best practices.
• Stay updated on cloud and DevOps tooling.
• Participate in on‑call duties and weekend maintenance.
