Hunter Bond in London seeks a focused Infrastructure Engineer to own the reliability, availability and performance of production applications. You will automate repetitive operational tasks and drive root-cause analyses, delivering new engineering solutions to complex problems.

This role emphasizes incident leadership, establishing SRE best practices and collaborating across teams on end-to-end application behavior and business context.

Competenze

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred).
• Experience with modern development practices: testing, source control, CI/CD, build systems.

• Owning the reliability, availability and performance of applications in production


• Automating repetitive operational work and fixing recurring systemic issues


• Running root cause analysis and delivering new engineering solutions to complex problems

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience


• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred)


• Experience with modern development practices: testing, source control, CI/CD, build systems


• Strong written and verbal communication


• An adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in hard technical problems


• SQL or database experience


• Prior HFT experience


• Personal passion projects
