Leeds Building Society is seeking a Platform Engineer to support on‑prem and cloud infrastructure, data centres, applications, hardware and LHPS domain. You will bridge on‑prem and cloud environments, delivering secure, resilient solutions and driving automation to accelerate change.
Your role involves implementing automation, operating incident support, and collaborating with developers and third‑party suppliers to follow established processes within a hybrid work model.
We've been helping our members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. Join us and you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too – join our Enabling Platforms team as a Platform Engineer, supporting on-prem and cloud infrastructure, data centres, applications, hardware and the LHPS domain.
You'll provide innovative technical expertise, deliver complex technical changes and operational support, and improve our hosted and cloud capabilities. You'll help operate secure, resilient solutions and increase the pace of change through automation. As we follow a hybrid model, you'll help ensure workloads can move between cloud and on‑premises environments according to suitability and cost.
You'll build and improve processes that automate the build, test, deployment and maintenance of the technology stack; provide Level 2 incident support; investigate production issues and root causes; monitor solution performance; and identify opportunities to streamline releases and improve customer experience. You'll also manage cloud‑based risks, create support knowledge, contribute to peer reviews and testing, and work with developers, colleagues and third‑party suppliers to ensure solutions follow established processes.
You’ll bridge on‑prem infrastructure and cloud/DevOps, however, we welcome strong experience in either area, with training and development available to help close any knowledge gaps.
We’ll give you a place to belong with the support to learn, develop and shape a meaningful career.
Our business is centred around our people. Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, as shown by our Inclusive Employers Gold accreditation in 2023 and 2025. We’re committed to equal opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability or gender identity.
You’ll be joining a truly purpose‑focused culture which helped us win the Leading with Purpose award at the 2023Business Culture Awards. This recognises how we’ve embedded our purpose with our colleagues, and the actions we’ve taken to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
