Our Future Health in London is seeking a Platform Engineer who thrives where infrastructure meets software engineering. You’ll design, implement, and operate scalable health data platforms, with hands-on work on infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows, and modern software practices.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services, improve architecture, and coach others in best practices while supporting on-call rotations and security compliance.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering. You're someone who loves solving complex problems, writing clean code, and building scalable systems that make a real-world impact.
We’re looking for passionate technologists with a solid grounding in infrastructure and a strong bias toward software engineering best practices. If you’ve worked with containerisation (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (any flavour), and tools like Go, Ruby, Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt or Pulumi, we want to hear from you.
This isn’t just about building new things. You’ll be enhancing and maturing one of thelargest health data platforms in the world, driving improvements, fixing bugs, and supporting a system that truly matters. You’ll be hands‑on with infrastructure-as‑code, GitOps workflows, and engineering best practices like unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
These systems will include but not limited to the participant‑facing websites, import and processing of high‑volume health, NHS and genetic datasets to the de‑identification/sharing of data into accredited Trusted Research Environments (TREs).
