Job summary

Qualient Technology Solutions UK Limited is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in the City of London with strong software engineering principles and hands-on cloud skills. You will own automation, pipelines, and IaC using CloudFormation or Terraform, working with Dev and Infra teams to deliver reliable platforms.

Experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins multi-branch pipelines, and scripting is essential for this role.

Skills Required

Minimum

• Experience as a Senior Platform Engineer including a solid understanding of software engineering principles and their application.
• Experience of Scripting and pipeline automation (e.g. Jenkins and GitHub Actions).
• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.

Essential

• Experience of working closely with development and infrastructure teams to quickly understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Adept at leveraging automation to improve development processes and optimise software delivery.
• Ability to cooperate closely with both engineers and product teams including designers, product managers, and analysts.
• Hands on CloudFormation scripting, troubleshooting and debugging
• Working knowledge of Chef, scripting and troubleshooting
• Experience with Python scripting and troubleshooting
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines (multibranch), deployments, groovy scripting
• Experience with Linux commands and knowledge of troubleshooting web services
• Experience with AWS services EC2, NLB, API Gateway, ASG, etc.
