Sky UK Limited seeks a Platform Controller to join Platform Control within Content eXperience & Distribution (CXD). You will monitor, diagnose, and manage incidents to ensure Sky's broadcast content stays up and running across TV platforms and apps.
This is a full-time, site-based role at Osterley with a 12-hour shift pattern (5 days on, 5 off, 5 nights on, 5 off, 4 days on, 4 off) and potential progression. Training provided; opportunities to collaborate with international sites may arise.
We don't just believe in better. We make it happen.
Better content. Better products. And better careers.
Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, Sky Stream to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate. We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love. And we do it all right here at Sky.
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join Platform Control - a key 1st line technical support team within Content eXperience & Distribution (CXD), part of CT&I. Platform Control ensures that Sky's broadcast content is robustly delivered across our TV platforms and apps.
As a Platform Controller, you will work at the forefront of cutting-edge broadcast technology in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment. You aren't customer-facing; instead, issues come through monitoring tools, internal departments, or 3rd party providers. No two days are the same—one minute you might restore a linear channel on Sky Glass, and the next, diagnose an On Demand playback issue on NOW TV or troubleshoot an interactive app on Sky Q. We provide full training to help you quickly identify faults and restore service.
This role offers fantastic career growth, with clear paths for promotion to higher grades based on skill and competency, plus potential opportunities to collaborate with or travel to our international sites in Munich and Milan.
