Job summary

Anthropic is building connectivity that makes Claude the most connected AI, shaping how agents access external systems safely and with enterprise trust. You’ll design and operate core connectivity infrastructure, including the MCP proxy, OAuth, and token management, ensuring reliability and scalable admin controls for IT governance.

You will partner with research to productize capabilities and work across teams to deliver impact for thousands of companies relying on Anthropic’s platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Experience as a backend or platform engineer with distributed systems.
• Experience operating production distributed systems, with reliability and incident response knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the core connectivity infrastructure behind external tool calls.
• Own reliability for infrastructure including SLOs, on-call, incidents, and postmortems.
• Build admin controls and permission models for enterprise IT governance.
• Contribute to the MCP standard and its Python/TypeScript SDKs.
