IFS is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, Platform who embeds with product teams and customer organisations to understand real problems, design real solutions, and own the outcome. You’ll be a force multiplier for developer velocity and platform adoption, working at the code level to unblock teams.

This senior, hands-on role thrives in ambiguity and moves fast, building production-grade solutions on the IFS Cloud platform, using Go, React, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, while collaborating with NGA

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on across the stack: Go, React/Next.js, cloud-native tech.
• Experience building production AI-powered products or systems.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements into deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams and customer engineering to maximise velocity and reduce GTM timelines.
• Lead technical discovery and identify bottlenecks, not just symptoms.
• Design and build production-grade solutions on the IFS Cloud platform.
• Identify and resolve platform friction points to speed shipping.
• Champion event-driven patterns across product teams.
• Build tooling and reference implementations to accelerate adoption of Kairos and Nexus.
• Ship a working version quickly and then harden with monitoring and iteration.
• Collaborate with NGA architecture to define IDP requirements.
• Translate pain points into actionable platform feedback for the roadmap.
• Work with customer architects and business stakeholders, communicating trade-offs.
