An opportunity for a number of PLATER/Welders to join a business with over 60 years of experience in the structural steelwork industry. Our client has delivered a wide range of high-profile projects and has recently been awarded a new 5-year major contract. They are looking to add PLATER/Welders on a permanent basis.

Our client is a market leader in steelwork construction, handling projects from simple portal frames to city centre beams and columns, as well as larger projects and complex refurbishment packages.

DUTIES for the PLATER / Welder role include:

• Marking out materials according to drawings
• Preparing materials (drilling, sawing, shearing) as required
• Tacking components into finished assemblies
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Ensuring accurate manufacturing

We are keen to speak to:

• Time-served or apprentice-trained welders
• Experienced in making structural steel for buildings, bridges, hoppers, platforms
• Familiar with plate fabrications from 0-70 mil
