Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting a Plater for a 2-month contract based with our client in Barton-upon-Humber. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Rate of pay is £22.00 per hour.

• Cutting, shaping and preparing materials for fabrication.
• Aligning, assembling and fitting steel components to drawings.
• Using hand tools, grinders and workshop equipment.
• Ensuring components meet specifications and tolerances.
• Work with fabricators and welders to meet deadlines.
• Maintain high workmanship and quality control.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

• Aligning, assembling and fitting steel components accurately.
• Using hand tools, grinders and other relevant workshop equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Plater within a fabrication or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with marking out, measuring, fitting and assembling steel components.
• Competent in using relevant hand tools and workshop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach.
• In date CCNSG (Safety passport) is desirable.
