Job summary

South Wales specialised manufacturing company seeks an experienced Plater/Fabricator to join its team in heavy industry applications. The role involves cutting, grinding, laying out sheet metal and plate, and assisting with final assembly of high-integrity pressure equipment and vessels.

Applicants should be comfortable reading fabrication drawings, and able to work safely at height or within confined spaces, with experience in MIG/MMA tack welds and assembly.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read fabrication drawings and understand tolerances.
• Adherence to factory safety standards and awareness of hazards in the workplace.
• Experience with cutting, grinding and layout of sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel and angle.

Responsibilities

• Cut, grind and lay out materials including sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, etc.
• Perform basic welding (MIG/MMA) on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
