Job summary

Ambitek is recruiting for Time Served Platers in Winsford to work with 20mm–40mm thick plate in a structural steel environment, interpreting drawings and producing components that meet high production standards.

This is a local role only; accommodation is not provided. Working hours are Monday–Thursday 7:45am–4:45pm and Friday 7:45am–12:45pm. Pay rates: Basic £23.09/hour, overtime £31.44/hour after 39 hours.

Qualifications

• Time Served with solid background in structural steel fabrication.
• Proven experience with thick plate materials.
• Ability to work independently from technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to complete and pass a trade test before starting.

Ambitek is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Winsford, who are looking to expand their team with a number of skilled Time Served Platers.

The Role

As a Plater, you'll be working with 20mm - 40mm thick plate in a structural steel environment. From interpreting technical drawings to producing high-quality components, you'll play a key role in ensuring production standards are met and exceeded.

• Fabricating components from 20mm - 40mm plate
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Using a variety of tools and equipment in a structural steel setting
• Delivering work to a consistently high standard within given timeframes

What We're Looking For

• Time Served with a solid background in structural steel fabrication
• Proven experience working with thick plate materials
• Ability to work independently from technical drawings and specifications
• Willingness to complete and pass a trade test before starting

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - 4:45pm
• Friday: 7:45am - 12:45pm (early finish!)

Pay Rates (CIS or Umbrella)

• Basic: £23.09 per hour
• Overtime: £31.44 per hour (after 39 hours)
