Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Chester invites applications for a full-time Consultant in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The post supports a surge in skin cancer referrals and general plastic services, with orthoplastic involvement for lower limb cases in Oswestry and locally.

The appointee will undertake clinics, ward rounds and theatre lists as part of a 10PA plan and participate in an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• FRCS (Plast) certification required.
• On GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery or within 6 months of CCT/CCST at the time of application.
• Fellowship or equivalent experience in orthoplastic / lower limb trauma; other subspecialty fellowships desirable.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients referred by GPs and other hospital departments; conduct clinics, ward rounds and theatre lists.
• Attend to 10PA job plan and participate in Annual Review.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call service, usually from home with telephone advice to junior doctors.
