Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery to join our expanding team in Chester. The role focuses on skin cancer and general plastic services, with some orthoplastic support for lower limb cases.

You will manage clinics, ward rounds, and theatre lists and participate in a 1 in 4 on-call service, with the post potentially permanent or locum. An NHS setting in Chester offers a busy but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• FRCS (Plast) and GMC Specialist Register enrolment or near CCT/CCST.
• Fellowship/experience in orthoplastic/lower limb trauma.
• Experience in breast/hand or skin cancer is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients referred by GPs and other departments; run clinics, ward rounds and theatre lists.
• Execute the 10PA job plan with the Lead Clinician and Planned Care management input.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call service, with home-based on-call duties for senior advice.
