Job summary

Mears Group in London – Rainham seeks a skilled Plasterer to support a busy responsive repairs contract in residents’ homes. You will deliver high-quality plastering repairs and finishes, manage time effectively, and work independently while maintaining a courteous, professional approach.

The role focuses on patch repairs, full wall skims, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Driving licence and experience in domestic plastering are essential; a company van and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering in domestic settings.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service in occupied homes.
• Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plastering repairs in occupied properties.
• Complete patch repairs to walls and ceilings after leaks or other trades.
• Prepare surfaces, apply plaster, bonding, boarding, rendering, and skimming.
• Repair damaged walls/ceilings, patching and re-plastering as needed.
• Apply full skims to walls and ceilings where required.
• Make good around door frames, windows, sockets and pipework.
• Prepare surfaces for a smooth, durable finish.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and protect residents’ belongings.
