Mears Group is seeking a skilled Plasterer for our social housing contract in Croydon. The role focuses on plastering repairs and finishes in occupied properties, including patch repairs, full wall skim, and ceiling work.

You will work across occupied homes, ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining a respectful environment. We require experience in domestic plastering, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a plasterer position.
• Experience in Artex repairs.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service in occupied homes.
• Know-how of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Experience using handheld devices or job management systems.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plastering repairs in occupied properties.
• Complete patch repairs to walls and ceilings after leaks or other trades.
• Apply full skim coats to walls and ceilings.
• Make good around door frames, windows, sockets and pipework.
• Prepare surfaces for a smooth durable finish.
• Mix and apply plaster with appropriate tools.
• Maintain a clean, tidy work area and protect residents’ belongings.
• Record job details and materials used using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Work respectfully in residents' homes with a professional and courteous manner.
