Job summary

MAGMAS in Wakefield, part of Together Housing Group, is recruiting a plasterer to join our Responsive Repairs team. You will carry out plastering repairs to tenanted properties, aiming for first-time-right workmanship and completing work within agreed timescales.

This role requires a full manual UK driving licence, City and Guilds Advanced Craft in plastering or NVQ Level 2+, and the ability to produce clear job tickets and time sheets.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving license is required.
• Literacy and numeracy skills to complete job tickets and time sheets.
• Experience in plastering and related building disciplines.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering repairs to tenanted properties per job tickets and specifications, aiming for one-visit completion where possible.
• Maintain good workmanship and complete repairs within required timescales.
• Keep records required by paper or electronic systems.
• Measure quantities and procure materials as needed.
• Ensure customer care and protect tenants' belongings during works.
• Undertake risk assessments prior to works and protect health and safety.

Education

City and Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in plastering or NVQ Level2 or higher (Desirable)
