Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a skilled plasterer for social housing sites in Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. You will carry out plastering, skimming, repairs and rendering, ensuring high workmanship and safety on-site.

The role involves reactive and planned maintenance in occupied or void properties, with a focus on professional communication with tenants and team members. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

Salary: £22.37 via Umbrella

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of plastering, including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, and making good.
• Complete reactive and planned maintenance works in social housing properties.
• Prepare surfaces and ensure all work is finished to a high standard.
• Work efficiently while maintaining excellent health and safety practices.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Ensure work areas are left clean and tidy upon completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a plasterer, ideally within social housing or property maintenance.
• Ability to carry out a range of plastering repairs independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience working in occupied and void properties.
• Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Plastering.
• Asbestos awareness, manual handling, or health and safety certifications.
